What Is an Ignition Pack?

An ignition pack (also called a control module) works with the stator, trigger, and ignition coils to control spark timing. If the ignition pack fails, the engine may lose spark or stop running entirely.

Common Symptoms of a Failing Ignition Pack

• No spark on one or multiple cylinders
• Engine will not start
• Intermittent spark loss
• Sudden engine shutdown while running

Before Replacing an Ignition Pack

• Test stator output
• Inspect trigger (pulser coil) signals
• Check ignition coil resistance
• Inspect wiring harness and ground connections
