Chrysler Force Ignition Triggers

Shop ignition trigger assemblies for Chrysler Force outboards. The trigger sends timing signals to the switch box, allowing spark to fire at the correct moment.

What Does a Trigger Do?

The trigger works with the stator and switch box to control ignition timing. If the trigger fails, spark may be weak, mistimed, or completely absent.

Common Symptoms of a Failing Trigger

  • No spark on one or more cylinders
  • Engine will not start
  • Intermittent spark loss
  • Misfire or erratic ignition timing

Before Replacing the Trigger

  • Test stator output voltage
  • Inspect switch box (CDI module)
  • Check ignition coils
  • Inspect wiring connections and grounds

Voltage drop or corroded wiring can mimic trigger failure. For proper marine wire sizing and amperage drop guidance, review our Marine Wire Selection & Amperage Drop Guide .

Always confirm engine model and serial number before ordering ignition components.
