What This Fuel Pump Does
The square mechanical fuel pump uses pressure pulses from the engine crankcase to move fuel through the outboard's low-pressure fuel system.

What This Fuel Pump is Used For
The 1-32-883202 low-pressure fuel pump moves fuel into and through the Mercury Fuel Supply Module or Vapor Separator. Maintaining an adequate fuel supply inside the module is necessary for the engine's high-pressure fuel system to operate correctly.
On engines with separate low- and high-pressure pumps, this pump does not create the final injection pressure. Instead, it supplies fuel to the high-pressure side of the system.

Test the low-pressure fuel supply and high-pressure fuel system before replacing components. If the FSM is opened, inspect the other pump, electrical connections, internal fuel passages and seals while the module is accessible.
