What This Part is Used For

Suzuki four-stroke outboards use internal sacrificial anodes on many engine families as part of the engine's corrosion-protection system. These anodes are installed behind removable covers in the engine.

The 09280-22019 O-ring seals the internal anode cover. Maintaining this seal helps prevent leakage around the cover after an internal anode has been inspected or replaced.

Because the O-ring must be disturbed when accessing the anode, it should be inspected during internal anode service and replaced when it shows flattening, cuts, hardening, stretching, or other deterioration.

Compatible Applications

Suzuki 09280-22019 is used across a large range of Suzuki DF four-stroke outboards. Catalog application data includes the following engine families:

If you are replacing the O-ring as part of an internal anode service, inspect the corrosion-protection anode at the same time.

Pro Marine 55321-87J10P is a replacement zinc anode used with this style of internal anode cover on many compatible Suzuki four-stroke applications.
