What is Included

The 13345 Thermostat Kit is intended to simplify thermostat service on compatible Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines.

The thermostat system uses the components shown above, including the thermostat, thermostat gasket, thermostat cap O-ring, thermostat cover and spring. Verify the exact contents of the 13345 package shown on the product listing before ordering any individual components separately.

Why Replace the Thermostat?

The thermostat regulates coolant flow through the engine so the powerhead reaches and maintains the correct operating temperature.

A thermostat that sticks open can cause the engine to operate too cool, while a thermostat that sticks closed or does not open correctly can contribute to elevated engine temperature or overheating.
